Sciapitò, From September 21 the Circus-Theater Returns to Villa Bonelli: Celestini, Fettarappa and Frosini/Timpano

From tomorrow, September 21, until October 11, the Sciapitò festival returns to Villa Bonelli, with a circus chapiteau set up in the park of Rome's eleventh municipality, in the Portuense neighborhood. The festival, directed by Dario Aggioli, blends different genres: from new circus acrobatics to sharp comedy, from civic theater to musical theater, to a taste for the surreal.

The Program

The festival opens with "Pulp-Ami" by Aggioli himself, a metatheatrical work born from a graphic design project by Dario Pelliccia. Wednesday brings "Generazione fortuna", a new circus show by Romeo Mattia Zanaboni and Stefano Papia. Thursday features "Casa mia - meglio nascere fortunati che ricchi" by Pietro Maccabei, while Friday Ivan Talarico brings "La cantautrice fantasma" to the stage, an ironic look at plagiarism in the age of artificial intelligence.

Saturday sees absurdist theater with "Apocalisse tascabile", the debut comedy by Niccolò Fettarappa with Lorenzo Guerrieri, while Sunday features "Carne" by the Frosini/Timpano duo, an ethical clash between a vegetarian and a meat-eater. On September 28, the spotlight turns to under-35 talents with "Bei ricordi show", September 29 brings a double appointment with "Marlonbanda" (Ricciardi, Marconi, Pastori and Maschio) and "Paradiso di tenebre" (Berardi/Casolari).

Other Artists on the Bill

Among the artists completing the theatrical marathon are Ascanio Celestini with "Radio Clandestina", Collettivo Bus14 with the participatory performance "35040", Andrea Cosentino with "Primi passi sulla luna", Dario De Luca with "I 4 desideri di Santu Martinu" and Lucia Raffaella Mariani, who presents the national premiere of "Mor - Storia per le mie madri".
