Yoko Shimomura, Kingdom Hearts Composer, in Concert at Teatro Golden

The Teatro Golden in Palermo will host "Echoes of Light", a concert dedicated to the career of Yoko Shimomura, the composer who has become legendary among video game enthusiasts for the soundtracks of titles such as Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy XV, Street Fighter II, Super Mario RPG, Legend of Mana and Parasite Eve, as reported by PalermoToday.

A Piano as an Orchestra

On stage to bring the arrangements to life will be pianist Benyamin Nuss, who will oversee the execution and arrangement of the pieces. What will make the evening special is the presence of Shimomura herself, who will accompany Nuss in some selected tracks and has personally supervised the arrangements for the concert.

According to PalermoToday, the show proposes a journey through the most significant stages of the composer's artistic production, alternating ethereal melodies with fast-paced pieces, between lyricism and piano virtuosity. The objective, it reads, is to bring the audience back to the atmospheres of the most beloved video game worlds, from the most emotional moments to the most epic boss fights.
