Mulino Caputo Becomes Official Flour of America's Cup in Naples

Mulino Caputo, the historic Neapolitan brand linked to pizza, becomes Official Supplier and Official Flour of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup. An agreement deemed historic by the event's organizers: in 175 years of sailing competition history, a mill had never become an official partner.

The presentation took place at the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia, the Naples headquarters of Emirates Team New Zealand, holder of the Cup who chose the Gulf of Naples as the regatta venue for 2027. Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi participated in the presentation, clarifying that while it concerns flour, it is not limited to pizza.

A Preliminary Regatta in September

From September 24, 2026, a Preliminary Regatta is scheduled to test the logistics of the event, as explained by the mayor. The final challenge of the America's Cup will instead begin on July 10, 2027, preceded by the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Selection Series.

Voices of the Protagonists

Mack Dalton, sponsorship director of Team New Zealand, stated: "We go where we make an impact," emphasizing how the partnership strengthens the bond between the event and the city. Marzio Perrelli, CEO of America's Cup, recalled the shared values between the two realities linked by the sea.

Antimo Caputo announced that the collaboration will also concern the feeding of the crews: "We will try to transmit our culture to the athletes, studying appropriate nutrition for those who will be protagonists of the regattas," with dedicated masterclasses scheduled.

According to reports, half of Mulino Caputo's turnover is already generated outside Italy: sailing thus becomes a further vehicle for bringing the Neapolitan brand to the world.
