Gambrinus, two days of events: free open day on October 1st and art tour on October 3rd

The Gran Caffè Gambrinus in Naples is preparing for two special appointments in early October, with reservations already open. As reported by the Luciano Pignataro Wine & Food Blog, on Thursday, October 1st, the celebrated venue on via Chiaia celebrates International Coffee Day, promoted by the International Coffee Organization, while on Saturday, October 3rd, it participates in the National Day of Historic Venues of Italy.

The open day on October 1st

From 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the Salone degli Specchi will host an open day with tastings and exhibitions: various coffee extraction techniques from different countries, roasting, grinding, and an exhibition of antique coffee roasters, grinders, and coffee makers. To participate, you must download the free ticket from the Gambrinus website and present it to receive a gift.

The day is part of a national initiative by the Italian Espresso Coffee Ritual Communities, which supports the UNESCO candidacy of the Italian Espresso Coffee Ritual through a petition drive. The "A coffee for Fondazione Telethon" campaign also continues, with fundraising open until March 2027.

The art walk on October 3rd

On Saturday, October 3rd, from 10 AM to 1 PM, Gambrinus opens its doors for guided tours among the artworks housed in the establishment, on the occasion of the National Day of Historic Venues of Italy. The owners will accompany participants, sharing anecdotes about the famous figures who have visited the venue throughout its history, also revealing unpublished episodes.

To participate in this second appointment, advance reservation by email is required, indicating name and phone number. Groups will be organized based on requests received, and you are asked to report any cancellations to allow others to participate in the tour.
