Milan Fashion Week Kicks Off September 22: 203 Events, Opening with Vogue World Between Wintour and Bolle

Milan is preparing for Fashion Week: from Tuesday, September 22 to Monday, September 28, the city hosts shows for spring-summer 2027 collections, in an edition that according to the Camera Nazionale della Moda counts 203 appointments including 61 shows and 54 events. President Carlo Capasa speaks of the number of appointments as "the highest in recent years," with 141,000 visitors expected in the city for the entire event, as reported by ANSA.

Vogue World opens the week

Symbolically opening the event will be 'Vogue World: Milano' on September 22, an event for 500 guests in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Anna Wintour has already been spotted on site for preparations, while according to Corriere della Sera Milano, Roberto Bolle also reportedly made an evening visit, practicing steps to check if the Galleria's floor was slippery. On September 23 at Palazzo Reale, an opening dinner is scheduled with Mayor Beppe Sala, linked to the vernissage of the exhibition "Dalì and Fashion."

Between farewells and debuts

The calendar, described as "sealed" by ANSA, opens with Prada and closes with Armani. On September 22, Glenn Martens signs his last show for Diesel while remaining at the helm of Martin Margiela, while in the evening Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons host a party with Jeff Mills. On September 23, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents her second collection for Fendi. Among the most anticipated debuts, on September 25, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo (founders of Sunnei) sign the first co-ed collection for Moschino. Also space for anniversaries: Hogan celebrates 40 years at Bocconi on the 23rd, Gianvito Rossi its 20th at Palazzo Serbelloni on the 24th, The Attico its 10th on via Sammartini on the 25th.

Beyond reserved shows, the week offers public appointments: the exhibition "Viktor&Rolf. According to Corriere della Sera Milano, among the most sought-after appointments is the dinner organized by Dior with dishes inspired by collections signed by the chef, as well as private trunk shows, such as the one by the brand Sa Su Phi hosted in an apartment on via Marco De Marchi.
