Bari wins again: Maggiore stuns Cosenza, whites and reds on top for one night

Bari continues its run and beats Cosenza 1-0, achieving the fifth consecutive positive result and moving momentarily to the top of Serie C Group C with 16 points, as reported by La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno.

Giulio Maggiore unblocks the match, who on 9' of the second half rises with his head on a cross from Tribuzzi after an action initiated from the left. For the Ligurian midfielder, among the most debated players on the squad but leading scorer for Bari, this is his third goal of the season.

The first half had passed without goals, with Bari controlling the field but lacking precision: Coletta missed a deflection from two metres on a corner kick, while Butic was beaten to the ball inside the box on a pass from Della Morte. Cosenza, second to last in the standings, limited itself to sterile possession, without forcing Cerofolini into noteworthy interventions.

In the second half, after Maggiore's goal, Bari managed the advantage and nearly doubled it in the closing stages with a diagonal from Bianchi, neutralized by Rizzo.

Emergency and effectiveness

Coach Rastelli had to deal with seven absences, between injured and players on national duty, fielding new signing Anzolin on the left wing from the start.
